Do You Love me is an archive based essay documentary about the bittersweet personal accounts of the generations that grew up during and post the Lebanese Civil War, interwoven with the rise and fall of the musical Bendaly Family.
Jury Statement
In Proust's "In Search of Lost Time" the taste of a Madeleine brings back memories of childhood. In this project it is a song that triggers emotions of an entire generation, as it once promised a distraction from the aftermath of the civil war in Lebanon. The jury sees this as an original starting point, and wishes the talented team lots of strength for their ambitious and personal journey through archive material.
